Love handles are the bane of existence for a lot of men and women, especially during these times when obesity is a rising concern worldwide. One of the major factors is simple aging – love handles seem to just appear

overnight. Yet whether you are a man, woman, girl, boy, young, or old – you do not have to love your love handles! In fact, you can lose love handles with some healthy lifestyle changes and easy exercises.

Any easy exercise at home to lose love handles is to just use a broom.

The first step when you are trying to lose love handles is to reevaluate your eating habits. It is best not to eat late at night because people are less active at night. Going to sleep right after a big meal often results in fat being stored beneath the skin. There is also the risk of high levels of sugar building up in the blood stream.

Also, think about giving up junk food – or, at the very least, moderating how much junk food you eat. Everything is all about moderation and when it comes to dieting, we usually begin to crave the very things we have just decided to give up permanently. So treats are fine but too much junk food is just begging for love handles, because most of it is so full of sugar, unhealthy carbohydrates, and saturated fats.

For an everyday diet, fresh and nutritious foods are the best, because with fresh, freshly prepared foods, there are less carbohydrates and refined sugars, plus much less unhealthy fat.

Toning down alcohol consumption is a great way to lose love handles as well, because alcohol is full of empty calories that do, in fact, go straight to the hips – and thighs, and bellies, inevitably forming those dreaded love handles.

Now that we have considered diet and lifestyle choices, the inevitable has finally arrived: talk of exercise. Exercise is essential when you want to lose love handles, but that does not mean that you have to go straight out and join a gym or exercise twelve hours a day. Regular exercise can be anything from taking a walk around the block a few days a week to playing sports with your friends.

Take your dogs for a walk, or find a few friends to go on a bike ride with – both of which are also great activities for both couples and families. Not only are you promoting quality time, but you are doing something active and constructive to help you lose love handles. It would not hurt to work out with weights – even if they are small five- or ten-pound weights, available at low prices in most stores – and do some cardiovascular exercises. No big deal – say, 30-45 minutes a day, three days a week.

All in all, you do not have to make many lifestyle changes or even relinquish very much of your free time to lose love handles. It just takes a healthy diet – with treats in moderation – a few lifestyle choices, and some moderate exercises, and you can bid adieu to your love handles.
